Welcome, and thank you for visiting my site.
I am a PhD candidate in Accounting and Finance at the University of Newcastle, Australia. My research explores the evolving field of climate reporting, carbon markets, and sustainability assurance, with a particular focus on how auditability is shaped in practice. My doctoral work examines three areas:
- systematic reviews of non-financial audit and assurance,
- the calculative infrastructures of Australian carbon markets, and
- the emerging practice of pre-assurance in climate reporting.
Alongside my academic research, I work as an auditing practitioner with more than a decade of experience in public-sector financial audit. This dual perspective allows me to engage with both theoretical debates and the practical realities of assurance, bringing insights from the intersection of academia and practice.
The purpose of this site is to share briefings on recent developments in climate reporting and assurance, reflections from my research, and resources for those interested in the future of auditability in sustainability and carbon markets.
